*there was some controversy over the caption for this picture*

oooh, now we can count it as a field trip! <laura. Reading another of the many plaques of our town. <katie.  Our parks aren't just pretty places to walk and run, they are fields filled with the history of our great country.  Where there were wars fought, blood spilled, and freedom won! <krissy (she's just making it hard on us)

  • It's March

What can you ever post about in March?  Nothing happens in March....but did you know that--

-Plastic lawn flamingos outnumber real flamingos in the U.S.A.

-Goldfish swallowing started at Harvard in 1939.

-It is impossible to lick your elbow.

-Naturalists use marshmallows to lure alligators out of swamps.

-The main library at Indiana University sinks over an inch every year because when it was built, engineers failed to take into account the weight of all the books that would occupy the building.

-In ancient Rome it was considered a sign of leadership to be born with a crooked nose.

-It's against the law in Chicago to eat in a place that is on fire.

-Donkeys kill more people annually than plane crashes.

-In Michigan, it is illegal to chain an alligator to a fire hydrant.

-The sound of E.T. walking was made by someone squishing her hands in jelly.

    -Laura is still gone.

We can't upload any pictures...our computer is "glitching".  *grrr*

Anyway, we're entertaining tonight so we must go and accomplish our duties.  Make chicken at 5, veggie casserole and baked mac&cheese at 5:30, and tidy up the house.

Wow, a whole post without pictures.  Only words.  Makes ya think.  :)

    -The two blondes

p.s.  did you try to lick your elbow?

We decided that we would have some spaghetti for supper - very valentineish & romantic dish don't ya think?

Krissy: "No, I don't think it's that romantic."

    Katie: "What??"

Laura: "Yes it is, that's why it's on Lady and the Tramp!"

Krissy: "That's the only reason people think that.  I think something more like...chicken."

    Laura & Katie: "Chicken!?"

    Krissy: "Like... maybe lemon chicken."

    singin' pose

After our supper, on fancy dishes we might add, it was time for KARAOKE!!  As you can see, there was a great stage set up - lights, speakers, microphones, soundtracks, keyboard...everything except mic stands...

  • "tag- we're it"

Okaaaay....so we got "tagged"  TWICE!  We figure we better play fair.

For Jamee, we're doing the 7 things that make us laugh...

    1. Laura - people falling down

    2. Krissy - Glenn Beck

    3. Katie - watching Krissy play sports

    4. Corny jokes

    5. Our Hillaryious video!!

    6. People we see picking their noses or dancing in their car...

    7. "Groin injuries"

For Matt, we're doing 6 facts about us (supposedly unknown..)

    1. Laura had blonde hair when she was little

    2.  Combined, we've never read more than 12 books

    3. We've tied Krissy to a pole, sprayed her down with water, squeezed honey on her,

and left her there to wet her pants.  (she wouldn't obey Laura!)

    4. We've all eaten frog legs & dog food

    5. We've had our picture in the paper 3 times

    6. Katie has the highscore on the hunting game in Wal-Mart

some of these "facts" are true, some of them aren't...can you figure them out?

All these weddings and stories of courtship are unhealthy for a little single girl like me! And here comes Valentines day!!  haha, no - j/k, I'm fine.

While my sisters and I were talking about all this fun wedding stuff on Saturday night, we decided that we were in the mood to watch Emma (of course!).  I think that movie is my favorite out of all the Jane Austin ones!

Currently my favorite quote from the movie:

"What's the point in my being almost 22 if I have so much to learn?"

Well, IT'S HERE!!  A slide show of pictures from Joy!  Go check out her site -  www.joyjensen.com/annajarod  It's bautiful yet fast, so if you want to view them one at a time or pause it, then click on a little box on the bottom right side.  We were exctied to find them up, we've probably been checking like everyday, haha.
