*there was some controversy over the caption for this picture*

oooh, now we can count it as a field trip! <laura. Reading another of the many plaques of our town. <katie.  Our parks aren't just pretty places to walk and run, they are fields filled with the history of our great country.  Where there were wars fought, blood spilled, and freedom won! <krissy (she's just making it hard on us)

We had a lot of competitions around the playground, including a big obstacle course.  We had so much fun getting our NEEDED exercise today!!

Announcing the winner of the obstacle course.  Notice the shock on the losing team.  HAha!

  • I KNOW DIRT AND MUD SPARKLE, LINZ AND JENN ALWAYS SAY THAT'S RIDICULOUS!!!!!!

  • Ok ladies...first of all, SO NICE to see a new blog.   "-)  Secondly, the natural Christmas tree is very cool - what are those things!?!?!?  Thirdly, in the picture of one of you jumping across a ditch...did the ditch jumper land on the other side or slide into the water below???  Just curious.  Fourthly, congratulations to the winning team.  "-)

  • I always enjoy reading your posts!  Good job ladies!

  • Yeah, it doesn't look like Katie makes it to the other side...it was pretty close :) haha.  She kinda landed on the edge.  Truman's jump over was the best.

That tree thing..I dunno whatcha call those things.  Sometimes they're "spikey balls that fall from trees", sometimes they're "fuzzy things that fall from trees", and other times they're just "balls that fall from trees".  Do any of you guys actually know what they're called?

  • Looks like fun!  Wish I could have been there.  next time.  The weather is getting nicer!!!

  • So what is all that park history? You talked about the history, but never mentioned what it was all about!!! (I know, you said something about war, but exactly what battlefield, etc.) Anyway girls, you need to come see me sometime! Love you all!

  • the history...something about some Indians attacking John Smith around that area.  (i think it was john smith)  I was mostly looking at the other sign about not canoeing in the river while drinking or doing drugs and how we need to take care of our fish.  :)

  • ryc: I tired beacuse this stupid time change always messes me up, I was out late last night over at Jared and Katie's house, had to get up super early (at least for me), went to breakfast with an elderly man from our church and Kyle Yates, in two hours Kyle and I raked up 15 bags of leaves for this man, left there, had about an hour to get lunch - showered - hair and makeup done - out of the door- heading to work, coached gymnastics for 6 hours, went to see my Grandpa cause he had out patient surgery today, and watched two whole hours of Deal or No Deal (that in itself can wear a person out ; }).

    So um, yeah. That's why I tired. = ) = ) = )

  • Hey Krissy!  You're welcome.  I needed to remind myself about the weather and you know, today is such a gorgeous day that I couldn't leave it alone!  Looks like your day at the park was wonderful.  When are you guys coming for a day at the park - Disney, EPCOT, MGM, Animal Kingdom?  Talk to Matt.  Be blessed!

  • Y'all remind me SO much of the way our family is! It is SO good to see that we are not the only crazy people out there..

  • I haven't been on here in a long time... So I just saw these! They're great! Good post. Very adventure-y, in a home-town way.
Answer to your question: It is moderately orange (orangey pink) and I NEVER would have thought of using that color on my own. Buuuut, makeup has never been my forte:)That's why I have girlfriends like you!
