  • Just another day

"So, what is it that you guys do all day?"

    Like duh, we play!

Everyday is always soo different but here's what happened on March 15th - an average Thursday.

We didn't get the camera out in time for the morning routine like breakfast, personal devotions, exercises, Xanga, and what not.

    story time

First event of the day: babysitting @ 9:30 for a ladies Bible study.  Katie's telling the story of David (fighting the bear here! haha)

    twins

We babysit a bunch of twins at this church!

    playgroung

What a beautiful day!  We took them outside to the playground.

    lunch piano

It's lunch break when we get home.  Katie did some meal clean up...whatever whatever, and is playing the piano.

    xanga lunch

Where's Krissy at lunch break?  On Xanga :)

    readin' afternoon

We don't always read together, but sometimes.  Krissy got up to charge her batteries (for her camera) and take a picture of us.

    lunch clean up

Krissy stopped hangin' out with the study group up stairs to clean up lunch .  All of us kids are on different teams who clean for different meals.

    workin' on book

It's early afternoon and Laura's workin' on her book.

    school

Katie is busy in her class.  It was so nice, that they had school outside.

    guitar lessons

This is on our way home from Laura's guitar lesson.  Holly is her teacher.  Krissy went along just for the fun of it.

    train

We had to stop for the train. :)

    candy box

Right when Krissy and Laura got home, we opened a special package that was waiting for all 3 of us!!  It was a late Valentine's gift/box with hershey kisses, cookies, gummy hearts, candy hearts, and an emergency chocolate bar!  THANKS!!!

    errends

Then it was time for some errands.  Mom came too - woo hoo!  These are some special groceries....

    intherain

It started pouring while we were out!  Katie warned us it might happen when we parked far away from the Wal-Mart door.

    checkin' marchmadness

When we got home we checked up on our MARCH MADNESS brackets!!

Katie's winning the whole thing, Laura's stinking up the room, and Krissy's somewhere near the bottom.

    m&ms

Sorting m&m's for our special St. Patrick's day cookies.  There weren't enough green ones so she's trying to decide what color to put with it.

    supper!

What's for supper?!  A TON of meat balls!

We just started helping mom fix suppers.  This week is Laura's turn.

Thursday night = DATE NIGHT!   (not for us though...we have to stay home).  Us kids make supper and hang out, it's lotsa fun.

    SIMS

Krissy's playin' SIMS, Laura's cookin' up a storm, and we're both listening to an Odyssey story on line.  whitsend.com, it's awesome!

    watchin' basketball

Katie is watching some of the madness :)   She's happily wrapped in a Colt's champion blanket.

    cookies

After supper, it was time for those cookies with green (and yellow :) ) m&ms.

    pan

We all three worked on 'em.  We sent some off to a friend today too.

    crafts

While we were baking cookies, we did a uncommon activity - a craft!  Birthday card for Grandpa, letters, notes, and a cool button/pin.

And there you have it, a journal of our day in pictures.  haha, that was fun - for us anyway.

    SHOUT OUT!!

To all you peoples who don't have Xanga's but still check out our site.

JUDY! (just talking about you today with another lady - you're so cool),  Barb :) ,  any of Dad's co-workers who get sent here, Becca (you should get a xanga and talk back), Meredith, Sharon & Shaun (love and miss you guys), and to the rest of you - let us know you're there and next time YOU too can have a "hi" :)

Alright, well Laura needs to go and help mom fix supper again, so it's time to wrap things up.  We've had another eventful day that is ending different then planned, but good none the less - of course :)

  • it ended with water, water everywhere.

  • Sounds like your days are eventful! I was just talking to my brother today about cooking, we agreed it's a lot more relaxing to cook at home and stuff. I've worked in big kitchens before and they can get hot with stress. Yuck. lol Anyways, it's neat to see you taking an interest in your siblings lives and encouraging them... we think those things are so small, but they will treasure those memories forever! God has been teaching me that lately. I did an Italian dinner the other night and my siblings LOVED it! I realized at that point, it's the little things that go a long way.
Thank you for your comment! All the Hinton girls are beautiful! Much love, -e!LeeN

  • guys you should have used ORANGE to go with your GREEN m&ms in the st. patricks day cookies...green is the catholic color and orange is the protestant color...those are the two offical colors of st. p's day!!! awww i've gotta go find some good irish music for the occasion...i painted my FINGER nails (*gasp*) a really cool green color...jenn did too (she did it first actually...but a lighter color green) i'm a terrible finger nail painter :)

  • well i told jenn it felt like at least a month, but she says its only been a week...however long ago bible study at dowkers was...that means almost 2 weeks...but still, thats not the same as hanging out with you guys (jenn says i ALWAYS feel like it's been forever since we've seen you guys, even when we saw you yesterday...i'm not quite that bad :) anyways...gotta go shower! i'm working today at a Healthy Lifestyle Expo in f'burg at a booth for Curves - hahaaaaa...should be interesting. love you guyssss mucho mucho!

  • did this say you're writing a book Laura?? That would be cool... I love y'all's posts... they're so interesting and eye catching...

  • Yeah, a "book" :)   It's not much at all.  You know me...as if I would write something profound, with a thousand different chapters, and proper english!

  • I think each time Laura finishes a chapter she should post it on this blog so we can read it and critique her!?!?!  That would be fun!

I love when you girls blog and post pictures and I for one wish you'd do it even more than you do.  When are you coming to FL again!?!?!

  • yes, well, kt-jo...i think that blonde is more a state of being than a hair color :)
i used to blonde...but...i guess i'm not...really...i'm not really brunette either tho am i?

  • you three are so adorable. i love you girls. haha. plus the rest of the huge family. thanks for all your support these past couple months esp you laura. thanks. love you

  • :pouty face:  cause I'm not at your house.... I did, however, write a research paper that finishes up this dumb class I don't like. Not as exciting, but it IS one step closer to graduating which means - one step closer to the "I'm-never-doing-school-again-party"!!!!!! and you are definatley invited :)
