visiting time
So, I drove Katie to the counseling seminar on Monday and now I'm hangin' out with Becca at IWU. So far it's been a lot of fun and also very interesting. I'm leaving this afternoon about 3 and going to visit our former Pastor and his family along with another couple who moved here from our Church. I'm looking forward to that too.
It was interesting going to class with Bec yesterday, and chapel was really good/challenging. I've been observing college kids and one thing I've noticed around here...they all wear jeans! Most of them, and most everyday...jeans. I'm not used to observing such a large group of people that are all in the same age range. So anyway.
Tuesday night while Becca was at a little study group I decided to get in my car and visit my ol' home town. Just to drive around or whatever...it's different the way you see things when you're at a different age and all. I happened to run into a few old friends and one friend that totally surprised me!! I found Hannah Havens in the grocery store (not just any grocery store, THE grocery store) and she invited me to her apartment to have a little supper and talk for a bit. Anyway, it was a cool little adventure to Fairmount and it was cool to see her (and the other guys) again.
Well, even though I might be able to talk more I will not. Words can get boring..........

Hey Laura, I've really enjoyed reading your and your sisters blogs and seeing your pictures. Sounds like you are having fun there with Becca, I'm sure she is thrilled to have you there. When are you coming to Florida again for a visit?!?!
We are anxious to hear how your Dad's surgery went, if you have time to send us an email to let us know how it went we would appreciate it - we are praying for him.
Hey Laura! Sounds like great times! It's interesting to be on a college campus for a while huh
)?
That is sooo awesome that you ran into Hannah at Driscols! That must have been so much fun to talk with her.

Hey Laura!! My brother is at the Counseling Seminar too. Maybe ask your sis if she ran into a Daniel with the same last name as me.
Wow, 2b&b, it was really cool to look at your site here. I'm kinda old now, you know (40 is the 'old age of youth') and so I don't intersect with 'youthie' web sites or dialogue very much. But I really did enjoy looking over your pictures and reading about your experiences, etc. Sounds fun! You're supposed to check in for my approval on stuff, you know -- hah, hah. I kidded some of the students here that they had to log their time during fall break, letting me know where they were/what they were doing every 15 minutes. They smiled and gave the obligatory courtesy laugh -- you know.
I noticed that Laura mentioned Youth Challenge! I plan tobe there, so will look forward to seeing some of you!? Let's plan on doing the lunch together thing at some point if possible. (If it's not possible, we won't do it -- how's that for reasoning.)
Praying for you all. Looking forward to YC.
