  • (fyi: this is Laura)

Just learning some things on the internet today :o )  Here's something you probably don't know about Margaret Thatcher -

She graduated with a second-class degree and worked as a research chemist for British Xylonite and then J. Lyons and Co., where she helped develop methods for preserving ice cream. She was a member of the team that developed the first soft frozen ice cream.

And here's something I think we should all remember for next year :)

In 1984, President Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month in the United States, and the third Sunday of the month as National Ice Cream Day.

  • Ahhh....Conservatives and Ice Cream! Go so well together don't they? Two of God's greatest inventions. haha!

  • oooooh laura, next year we are SO getting the entire Ronald Reagan Fan Club together to celebrate that....how fabulous ;)

  • I thought this was a very important thing to post.  Thank you, Laura, for teaching us the important history of this country.  It is a shame that this Day of Ice Cream is not know to more Americans.  It is not even on our calenders!  Some things in this country are just pathetic....quite pathetic.
