Presidents Day in Fredericksburg
First we set off for Kenmore Mansion. This is the home of Betty Lewis, George Washington's sister.
"Richly" decorated...on puropse. Show offs
In the Spring, the garden has more FLOWERS, but for now it's just bushy.
View from the back.

Ferry Farm!
Then it was off to George Washinton's boyhood home (and Betty's)
Driving into the visitors center. They don't have any actual structures from when the Washingtons lived there...they all burned down!
What a gorgeous day we had!! It actually ended up raining when we left and remained gloomy the rest of the day. Too bad for the boys, they went out camping afterwards!
Good ol' fashioned toys
Presidents Day is FREE admission day to both Kenmore and Ferry Farm. Definitely the day for everyone to go! They even serve cake to celebrate George's birthday
*yay!*The river George grew up on... And so are some of us!
