How often do we girls look in the mirror to check and see if our outfit looks okay while we're getting dressed?
haha...plenty "Does this work together?"
"Do I look big?"
"Which shoes..."
How often do we ask God what He thinks about it?
Katie and I sat down to color pictures with some kids at a church today while we waited for lunch to be ready. I flipped through the pages, and didn't really like my options... I came to this one, saw a little girl looking in the mirror and liked it well enough.
haha. "A girl, a mirror..yeah..this one will do" Then I looked at what the words said on my page.
Girls, we should always remember Who we represent when we get dressed! Are we putting fashion and attraction higher than our thoughts of glorifying Christ and reflecting Him to others? These were good thoughts for a girl like me, and hopefully something we all put into practice...

Oh I love this! I copy pasted the pic onto my computer! hehe. I think I'll blow it up as the background for the girls conference down here this summer...we have to make that a session if not the theme of the whole week!!
I like this post.
Thank you Laura! I've always respected girls that are ready and willing to go the extra mile to make sure what they are wearing pleases the Lord and their fathers. And I'm proud of all my sisters for doing this.
Great analogy Laura! A good reminder that it's more important what God thinks than anyone else. Thank you! Love ya!
