Appalachian Youth Camp
Here's our BIG group of cousins!! Jonathan didn't actually attend (loser), he just showed up one night.
Traveling to Amy's house on Sunday night
Amy (our old piano player from church) lives near the camp grounds so us 3 girls got to spend Sunday night at her place. We had a great time, got to meet her man, ate unhealthy food, and she took us out for breakfast - THANKS AMY! We had a great time!!
Annie felt sick and wasn't lookin' so good after registration, so we prayed for her to get well and BAM - she was! Thanks God
This year, while everyone was waiting for the "big time" to start, they had some party games. This year was the camps 25th birthday, so everything was themed around that.
If you got a ring around the pop can, you got to KEEP IT!

Snow Cone Queen
These are 2 of Elizabeth's (our cousin) kids.
One night there was an emergency that involved Nasia, a spider bite, and a trip to the ER. Laura was one who had to leave so Katie and Emilee filled in with the snow cones!
We play softball and volleyball everyday.

These are some friends that we met at CCYC (the last camp we were at). They're lotsa fun! Here we are at one of the afterglows. It was an All-Star softball game.
Elizabeth got to come to camp this year...kinda like old times.
It was fun to be able to see Randy and Lawrence (too bad he's not in this picture) this year at camp!!

We had a lot of fun hangin' out with the Cessna guys. Rick & Mike.
The banquet was a big birthday party!! Laura was a dorm master and so she had to "sign off" on everyones banquet passes who stayed in her dorm.
Laura: I had prayed that I would be a help and example at camp and not just be attending and trying to have fun. God really answered my prayer by giving me a big responsibility up in those dorms! I was over 70 girls *shew* I was happy to help!

Wow I actually made it into two pictures. (I'm in the background of the banquet picture) So was the trip back home fun? Who got bit by the spider? So much fun had at once can really make you tired so I need to go now but I'm glad I could say HI. iiii.k
I really was there!!! I didn't make it into most of the pictures. (I was the one taking pictures at the party) but I was there.... There is a picture of me helping the kids with the softball throw carnival game. (the one where you through three softballs into a bucket and try to keep them from bouncing out.) Anyway, It was a good time. Looking forward to next year already!
matt, you totally made it to atleast two pics! The one at the very beginning, and the games picture. I guess you just can't count.

I think people must be too busy looking at the pictures to really read the blog since it says Nasia and a spider bite but two people asked who got bit by a spider - how funny! "-)
My Mom and my older sister Brenda worked in the office (as you probably know) and I talked to both of them on the second or third day - Brenda said "a whole bunch of Rick's cousins are here"...after seeing the picture I realized she wasn't kidding...I didn't know it was that many...how cool! I went there myself from age 13 to 19 (I even won a big Bible Bowl trophy) and can't wait until Michael is old enough to go - only 3 more years.
I loved looking at all the pictures, sooo many great memories. (Laura - I LOVE your hair long by the way) Brenda was bragging on you older Hinton girls - probably talking about you Laura since you were working and not a camper - and how helpful, kind, etc. you girls were...she was quite impressed. Glad you all had fun!
I wasn't counting the group shots.... Just "action" shots...

YAY!!! So Much Fun!!! Even though I did get bit by that mean ol' spider. ;o) My leg got so swollen that it was as big as Matt's :-O no joke. The swelling has gone down a TON!! But once it came out of my leg it went to my foot. But now it's pretty well gone on my foot also.

k so i totally don't get this xanga stuff. how can you all have the same site, like i click on krissy's picture and it goes to the same page as if i click on katie's. and there's like virtually no friends list. i'm just stumbling through this whole thing lol. oh well. at least i figured out how to comment. and i have all of my midnight shift to work on it
so this is an AWESOME blog, i love how you add pictures with the words, still have to figure out how to do that. and i only have a camera phone, so either i steal pictures from other people that look good to put up (hah) or else i put up fuzzy small ones. but my sister is graduating from the academy next week and we're getting her a digital camera (sshh) for a present so maybe i'll be able to get decent ones now. does xanga have a message feature?? anyway great blog, and I LOVE AYC!!!
oh and one more thing, do you guys have a picture of our team that we took on the last day after we won everything? it was near the volleyball courts by the bridge...many people used their cameras but i'm not sure if you guys did or not. cuz i'd like to steal it if you have it
and do u guys ever IM? cuz when i work midnights i'm like permanently signed on. i have msn, yahoo and aim, all are the same sn as i'm using on here.
